INTRODUCTION: In our previous lesson we saw the contrast between the carnal man (Lot) and the spiritual man (Abraham). We learned that Lot, through a series of selfish choices placed himself outside the will and protection of God for himself and for his family. The result was disastrous, both to his own spiritual life, to the life of a lost world and to the life of his wife and children. Lot pitched his tent toward Sodom following what human reason and human logic told him to do. Lot is the example of a man who does not live by faith but by sight. As a result everything Lot worked for was burned up when Sodom and Gomorrah was destroyed. In today's lesson we will see the contrast of a man who made his choice, not by site but by faith. He is an example of the spiritual man that God wants every Christian to be. Life is made up of the sum total of our choices.
