John 14:16-18

Years ago, I heard a story about a guy, a young guy. He's not a very smart guy. His name was Larry. And he was a student at Duke University, but he failed out. And he went back to his little town in North Carolina and he wanted to get a job. He needed to get a job. And the sheriff in that little town, he was looking for a deputy and so little Larry said, ''Well, I want to be a deputy.'' So he told his friends, ''I'm going apply for that job. I'm going to get that job. I'm going to be a deputy.'' So he gets an interview with the sheriff. And he sits down, and the sheriff says to him, ''Okay, little Larry.''
