Colossians 3:16-19

Now when it comes to building a God Influencer's home: ..

- a home that makes God the issue,

- a home that influencers family members toward the things of God,

- a home that raises young champions for God, remember this:

Together is always Better!

Two are always better than one!

The Bible says in Ecclesiastes 4.9-10, "Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labor. For if they fall, one will lift up his companion. But woe to him who is alone when he falls, for he has no one to help him up."

That's why when God ordained the family that He intended for those with children to have both a father and a mother in the home! And for families with no children, He intended for there to be a Husband and a Wife.

We read in Genesis 2:23-24, "And Adam said, 'This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; She shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.' Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and they shall become one flesh."

I've always said that if you believe what God says in the book of Genesis, that you won't have any trouble believing everything else God says throughout His Word. But if you stumble and trip over Genesis, you're going to stumble and trip over the rest of the Bible.

Our prayer as parents ought to be, "Lord, help me influence my children toward You, so that when they leave our home, they will become influencers for You." God help us to be the kind of influencers that those we influence, can in turn become influencers for You!

And as we saw last time together, the prayer of every husband ought to be, "Lord, help me influence my wife to walk with You, so that one day, I can present her to You sanctified, just as Christ will one day present His bride to you "holy and without blemish."
