Ephesians 4:17-24

The Body of Christ, the Church, called to a unique function is made up entirely of unique people made unique through a unique experience. Conversion! The effectiveness of the Church is related to the "convertedness" of the members.

I. The Condition that Makes Conversion Vital. vv. 17-19

A. Intellectual darkness.
1. Vanity of mind.

2. Understanding darkened.

B. Spiritual deadness.
1. Alienated from life of god.

C. Emotional hardness.
Note: "blindness" lit. hardness.

D. Moral callousness.
1. Lasciviousness.

2. Uncleanness.

II. The Considerations that Make Conversion Viable. vv. 20-24


Part 8: Conversion Conduct

Once a person has made a commitment to Christ and as a result has been forgiven and regenerated by the Holy Spirit, that person embarks on a life that will demonstrate that commitment in terms of "Conversion Conduct."

A. Relating to Spiritual conflict.
1. The activity of the "Slanderer." v. 27

B. Relating to Spiritual concerns.
1. The concern for Unity. v. 25
