It's Time to Put the Enemy to Flight!

Purpose of this message is to teach the congregation to recognize and defeat the enemy in their lives.

I will lay out 2 scriptures about Jesus casting out demons. I will tell them that the devil does exist but Jesus has given us authority over the enemy (with scriptures backing it up). I will then explain how the devil goes where there is an open door, Because of the ministry of the Son of God, the devil knew that his time was short so he is doing everything he can to wear people out, get them discouraged.

Most people don't like to talk about this subject, because
• the fear of the unknown
• They believe we should talk more about God
• The devil is under our feet
We say to talk about the devil does not bring glory to God, but actually it brings glory to God when we as the soldiers in His army are well aware of the schemes, plots, plans, devices, designs, intentions, and thoughts of the devil. Because if you can spot your enemy you can defeat him every time!

We have been given authority over the enemy in the Name of Jesus:
Behold I give you authority over all the power of the enemy
Luke 10:17Then the seventy returned with joy, saying, "Lord, even the demons are subject to us in Your name." 18 And He said to them, "I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven. 19 Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

These signs shall follow them that believe
Mark 16:17 And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; 18 they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover
