Truly we live in troubled and turbulent times. Environmentally alone, we have had our share of shake ups over the past few weeks. An earthquake that was felt all across the northeastern portion of the United States and then Hurricane Irene that has pulled down power lines and blown down trees and damaged homes from the outer banks of North Carolina to New England. People's lives have been put into an uproar. If that wasn't enough, President Obama announced that the unemployment rate meter did not move last month staying at a record 9.2%. People's lives are being shaken. We are one week away from the anniversary from when our entire nation was shaken by the most hideous unimaginable terrorist attack in the history of mankind. It feels as though the ground is falling out from underneath us even if it is not from an earthquake! People are losing jobs and businesses are closing down. The rug that the American dream was being lived on is being pulled out right from underneath us.

Where do we go?
What do we do?

Wisdom is needed from God's Word….

Psalm 46:1 God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. 2 Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; 3 Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof. Selah. 4 There is a river, the streams whereof shall make glad the city of God, the holy place of the tabernacles of the most High. 5 God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved : God shall help her, and that right early. 6 The heathen raged, the kingdoms were moved : he uttered his voice, the earth melted . 7 The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge.
