Hebrews 1:1-3


1. If I were to ask you to fill in this blank, what would you say? My entire life is built around this basic belief:____________. Now if people were honest and answered that question based on the way they live their lives, these would be some of the answers that you would get. (show the below one at a time - not all at once) -money is everything. -eat, drink, and be merry for tomorrow you might die. -at all costs get to the top -life is a party. Have fun while it lasts. -it is all about me. -grab all the gusto that you can.

2. I want to share with you today what my entire life is built around. It is built around one belief that I can summarize in five words: There is nobody like Jesus. There never has been, there isn't, and there never will be. With all of my heart, I believe that Jesus Christ is one of a kind.

3. That is why I want you to take this away from the message today. Key take away: Jesus Christ alone should be followed and worshipped, because he is one of a kind.

4. In all of human history there has never been anyone like Jesus Christ. These are familiar words, but they bear repeating: more than 2000 years ago, there was a man born contrary to the laws of life. This man lived in poverty and was reared in obscurity.... Only once did he cross the boundary of the country in which he lived and that was during his exile in childhood.... In infancy, he startled the king; in childhood, he puzzled doctors; in manhood, he ruled the course of nature - walked upon the sea as if on pavement and hushed the storm to sleep. He never wrote a book and yet all the libraries of the country could not hold the books that had been written about him.... He never wrote a song and yet he has furnished the theme for more songs than all of the topics combined....he never founded a college, but all the schools put together could not boast of having as many students....though time has spread many years between ...
