Adoration That Leads to Devotion

INTRODUCTION: This passage helps me to be reminded that the Lord has always spoken to the "common man." In Mark 12:37, "And the common people heard Him gladly." As your Pastor, I can honestly encourage you to go to your Bibles for guidance and direction. I can encourage you with a truthful heart that the Lord will hear your honest pleas and speak to you in His divine revelation.
Jeremiah 33:3, "Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know."
Through the years the Lord has called out a wonderful number of church planters and missionaries, as well as pastors and other staff. How did these friends know what and when to surrender to His call? Could they really be sure of it being His call?
Others have felt led to support the "called out" ones as S.M.P., supporters, encouragers, prayers, etc.
Many of you have sensed that your part is one or all of the above, while many have sensed the Lord leading them to give.
Whether it is giving, going, or praying, we have much to celebrate as a result of your obedience!
Could it be that during this season of "LoveLoud" and Global Impact Conference (Celebration) that the Lord would allow us to take a giant-step in His Kingdom work?
I. WHAT THE PSALMIST REVEALS. 129-131
A. GOD'S WORD IS EXTRAORDINARY. 129
"wonderful" Isaiah 9:6 same as His name.
People obey God's word for different reasons; some because of fear of punishment, others to secure blessings, and still others because they love God and want to please Him. The psalmist stood in awe, amazement, at the wonder of God's word – its harmony, beauty, perfection, practicality, power, and revelation.
Our God Who wrote a book this wonderful deserves our obedience. To obey the word is to become part of that wonder, to experience power and spiritual transformation in our lives.
