This session is to further develop and enhance our understanding of and obedience to Serving God!

The Goal of Session Four: That you will Serve God by serving the body of Christ through personal involvement in a ministry.

Born with a God-Given Purpose

1. Each person is uniquely made and gifted by God.

"So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them." (Genesis 1:27)

"What is man that You are mindful of him, and the son of man that You visit him? For You have made him a little lower than the angels, and You have crowned him with glory and honor." (Psalm 8:4-5)

2. Every person is created by God with a specific design to fulfill God's purpose for their lives.

"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope." (Jeremiah 29:11)

3. Every born-again believer is called by God for the purpose of service.

"For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them." (Ephesians 2:10)

Why People Don't Fulfill Their Purpose

1. Excuse #1: Lack of ability

• This excuse is used most often, but it simply is not true. Everyone can do something!

2. Excuse #2: Lack of time

• The way you spend your money and your time reflect your priorities.

You spend your time where you spend your money – on your priorities! When it comes to money we are not all created equal. But when it comes to time, we are equal. We all have 24 hours a day to spend.

• Understand this: Time management is not really time management; time management is priority management!

Is serving God and others a priority? If it is, you will find the time!
