The Bible says in Hebrews 11:6 that there is one thing that you must do to please God. There is one thing that God requires or you cannot please Him. No matter what else you do, without this, you cannot please god. It says, "Without faith, it is impossible to please God because anyone who comes to Him must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who earnestly seek Him."

Now Jesus wants life to be rich in 2007. Jesus said, ‘I am come that they might have life and that they might have it more abundantly." Jesus said in the Amplified version of that, "I came that you might have and enjoy life and have it in abundance to the fullest until it overflows."

Many Americans today are not experiencing that kind of life. When they wake up every day they say, "Good Lord, it's morning!" not "Good morning, Lord." They've lost that spark and that adventure and that keen cutting edge that God wants life to have.

I was reading an article in USA Today by John Gardner. The article was titled, "The Need For The Rebirth For America's Spirit." He said the United States now faces many economic, political and social problems. We've dug ourselves into a hole. It's going to take all that we have in spirit and dedication to fight our way out. He said, "Like an athlete returning from a lazy summer, we must get our long unused muscles back in shape. All Americans must join together to fight cynicism and restore the values in our family, community and the work place. What is needed is the resurgence of spirit on the part of the American people."

I think you would agree with the in that we have far too much cynicism and far too much skepticism and far too much negativism in America and we need a resurgence of the spirit that built this country.
