Esther 4:13

I want to speak to you, friends, on the subject, ''The Time Is Now.'' This is the beginning of a new year. Our Bible reading is in Esther 4:13. I pray God will speak to our hearts.

''Mordecai commanded to answer Esther, Think not with thyself that thou (being a Jewess) shalt escape in the king's house more than all the Jews. For if thou altogether holdest thy peace at this time, then shall there enlargement and deliverance arise to the Jews from another place; but thou and thy father's house shall be destroyed. And who knoweth whether thou art come to the kingdom for such a time as this?

''Then Esther bade them return to Mordecai this answer: Go, gather together all the Jews that are present in Shushan (the palace and the estate round about), and fast ye for me, and neither eat nor drink three days, night nor day. I also and my maidens will fast likewise, and so will I go into the king, which is not according to the law. If I perish, I perish!

''So Mordecai went and did according to all that Esther commanded him.'' ''WHO KNOWETH WHETHER THOU ART COME TO THE KINGDOM FOR SUCH A TIME AS THIS?'' ''THE TIME IS NOW.''

God gives us our position in life. Many times we are blinded by circumstances and cannot see it, but God gives us our position in life.

He gives it to us that we may use it for His Cause, for the spread of His Gospel in this day in which we live. We have tremendous advantages given to us by God! God has conferred them on us for a Divine Purpose.

In every human life runs that Divine Purpose. Nobody is without VALUE. Everyone is of tremendous value, and God places you in the position where you are that you might glorify Him and be a blessing to those around you in His Name, to bring God into their lives.

No human being has anything for his own sake. No one can say, ''This is mine, and it is only for my use.'' We are ''come to the kingdom'' FOR OTHERS and FOR GOD.
