We are thinking these days about The Moral Collapse of America! The moral foundation that our nation was built upon not only is cracking, it is collapsing!

And if the church of Jesus Christ does not stand up now and start speaking up and then showing up to vote and not for parties or people, but for those whose principles reflect God's Word, America will collapse and fade away and go the way as the other great empires that have turned their back on God!

Proverbs 14.34, ''Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people.''

We began our study of The Moral Collapse of America by thinking about Homosexuality Goes Primetime! And then last Sunday we considered another contributing factor to our moral collapse: America's Affection with Adultery!

And now this morning, we're considering a third factor that I am calling:

Jeremiah 1.5

God said to Jeremiah in Verse 5, ''Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you; before you were born I sanctified you; And I ordained you a prophet to the nations.''

What would you recommend? Years ago there was a preacher and wife who were extremely poor. They already had 14 children. They find out that the wife is pregnant with the 15th child. Would you recommend she get an abortion?

What would you recommend? The father is sick with syphilis; the mother has TB. They have 4 children. The first one is blind. The second one died. The third one is deaf. The fourth one has TB. She finds she is pregnant again. Would you recommend she get an abortion?

What would you recommend? A teenage girl is pregnant. She's not married. Her fiance is not the father of the baby and he's very upset. Would you recommend abortion?

If you had recommended an abortion to the preacher and wife concerning their 15th child, you would have killed John Wesley, one of the great evangelists ...
