Our first message in this series is entitled "Is There Any
Hope for the Family." Our text today is found in the fifth
chapter of the book of Ephesians, and if you have your
Bible, would you look with me into the word of God. In
Ephesians chapter 5, would you please stand with me today in
reverence to the holy scripture called the Bible. I'll be
reading from the New American Standard Translation this
morning, and as you look with me to God's word, would you
look with me as we begin reading in verse number 18.
"And do not get drunk with wine for that is dissipation, but
be filled with the spirit." Verse 22: "Wives be subject to
your own husbands as to the Lord, for as the husband is the
head of the wife as Christ also is the head of the church,
He himself being the savior of the body. But as the church
is subject to Christ, so also the wives ought to do their
own husbands in everything. Husbands, love your wives just
as Christ also loved the church and gave himself up for
her." Verse 28: "So husbands also ought to love their own
wives as their own bodies and he who loves his own wife
loves himself." Verse 33 in chapter 5: "Nevertheless, let
each individual among you also love his own wife even as
himself. And let the wife see to it that she respect her
