WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO HAVE A RELATIONSHIP
WITH JESUS CHRIST?

Hw many of you are married? How many of you
remember the place and/or day you met the girl you
wmod eventually marry?
'On that day you began a relationship. You were
introduced to her or met her on your own, eventually
married her, and throughout time have come to know
her quite well. In fact, the relationship you have
with her is no more meaningful than the events you
share w her as well as the time you have with
her now in life.
ip the same way that you came to have a relationship
With her, you begin to have a relationship with Jesus
C~hrist. There is a place and a time in your life when
you decide to go on with Him (marriage) or put Him
to the side. If you have met Him, then you can get
to know one another in a personal way. You only inv*te
Him into your life once. Once you have a relationship
with Him you always have a relationship with Him.
L. WHAT A RELATIONSHIP WITH JESUS CHRIST IS NOT.
Authority is not the church, religious tradition, but

3. Being a good family man.
4. Being a church member.
5. Being baptized.
6. Receiving the sacraments or ordinances of the

8. Attending some religious class.
9. Being a Bible scholar.
10 Living a perfect life.
* If you are trusting in any of these things to
give you a relationship to Jesus, you are
trusting in the wrong things.
H. WHY DO WE HAVE A NEED TO HAVE A
RELATIONSHIP WITH JESUS CHRIST?
Vacuum in every person's life that cannot be filled
by anything or anyone other than Jesus Christ.
* You were created for one major purpose --> to
have fellowship with Jesus Christ.
