Many of you have read in the "how to" books about the most successful businessmen of America in the 1920s.
**They controlled more wealth than the U.S. Treasury.
The question asked is, "Is this success?"
Charles Schwab -- President of the largest independent steel company. Lived the last 5 years on borrowed money and died broke. Richard Whitney -- President, New York Stock Exchange. Went to Sing Sing Prison.
Albert Fall -- Part of Franklin D. Roosevelt's Cabinet.
Pardoned from prison to die at home.
Jesse Livermore -- Wall Street's greatest bear. Committed suicide.
Leon Fraser -- President of International Bank. Committed suicide.
Ivan K -- Headed the world's largest monopoly. Committed suicide.
I. What success is not -- The Myths.
A. Success is not material prosperity -- Self-aggrandizement.
