Mark 8:34-38

Let's go to the Lord in prayer together.

Our heavenly Father, we thank Thee for the thrill of being in thy house
today. To know that you have met with us in a supernatural way gives to
those in the family a magnificent blessed assurance. We are here
tonight to do business with Thee. Lord, you speak, let me get out of
the wa-y sa that thy word and thy holy and divine message might not only
be heard but may it be received and understood and incorporated into our
living. For we make this prayer in the strong holy name of Jesus Christ
our Savior and our Lord. Amen. I

Marriage creates the conditions God can use to make you and to make me
into the kind of individuals He intends for us to be. Tonight is an
introductory word as we will be dealing with the family for some 25
consecutive sermons. Sunday morning, Sunday night, the family. Sunday
morning, Sunday night, the family. You say, "Why so much?" That's
where the action is today. There I think we find the basic need of our
society. In the family individuals are finding great joy. In the
family individuals are find great sorrow.

Now, I base these sermons, 25 in number on three things. First of all,
my study of the Bible. The Bible has in it immutable principles that
deal with relationships. All relationships, especially relationships

be my experience as a Pastor. The third area would be my experience of

those precepts, those insights that God gives through His Spirit that
