Psalm 119:105
Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path.
Every so often a rumble is heard through the Christian Community
from a denomination, a different theological camp, concerning a
date that has been set by someone for Jesus' return. Do you
remember September, 1988 when the little booklet, "Eighty-eight
Reasons Why the Rapture Will Occur in '88" came out?

I'll never forget that weekend before the date occurred, I
preached on, "Is Jesus Coming Back?" We had sixty (60)
decisions that day. Many people met Christ because they were
concerned that they weren't ready if Jesus came back that week.
Now I want you to know that Jesus did not come back on that day
but there were some who were convinced that that date in
September was the date that Jesus was coming back. Once again
six years later we had that same rumbling over the Jewish
Celebration over Rosh Hashana. Did God tell someone on earth
what He did not tell His own Son while He was one earth?
According to Matthew 24:36, Jesus said:
No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in
heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.

Of course not, is the response. But there are many people who
say they have a special revelation from God, that God has spoken
to them directly. What are you to believe? Is God still
speaking today? Well, the answer is yes. God still speaks
today. He speaks to individuals just as the old song "In the
Garden" says:
"I come to the garden alone,
While the dew is still on the roses,
And the voice I hear, Falling on my ear,
