Today is a very significant day in the history of Encounter Christian Church. It is our 6th anniversary as a church, so today marks the completion of 6 years and the first day of our seventh year. We are in a significant time in our history as a church. 6 years ago today, we had our very first service in the family room of our home. It was Gerri and I, Amy, Lenny, and Abby, and one other family of 4 - the Dill's. 9 of us in total. It was the day before that a good friend of mine, Jeremy Dill called me and said, ''Hey are we having church at your house tomorrow?'' This phone call came as a confirmation that IT WAS TIME, and that God was providentially and prophetically moving us to step out of our comfort zone and begin to walk on water. We had no idea as to what God wanted to do. Over the last six years, we have learned a lot about ministry, about what works and what doesn't work. We have learned about relationships and loyalty. We have learned a load of lessons about leadership. We have learned much about our marriage, how to have balance, how to draw boundaries, and who to trust. We have experienced the joys of seeing the Spirit of God move in power in the midst of our own weaknesses. We have seen many people coming to know who they are in Christ. We have witnessed people growing in the grace and the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ and many coming into more of the things of the Holy Spirit. We have seen the rich mercy of God on some who have fallen away from God and then return to find that He was waiting for them all along. We have experienced the divine presence of God in our meetings and the anointing of the Holy Spirit. We are experiencing an electricity of excitement regarding what God wants to do in our midst.

So, on this day that we have completed 6 years of preparation, we are now ready to embark on our seventh year! What is the significance of this being the beg ...
