Thy will be done, On earth as it is in heaven.11 ‘Give us this day our daily bread.12 ‘And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors.13 ‘And do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from evil. [For Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.]’14
When you want to find a good mentor or coach or advisor, what do you look for?
If you’re looking for a Financial Investment Advisor, don’t you usually try to find someone who has a proven track record?
If we’re looking for someone to teach us how to play golf or some other sport, don’t we usually want to find someone who IS or has been successful in the particular sport?
When it comes to prayer, again, shouldn’t we want to try to find someone to help teach us who again, has that good track record?
There are in fact several people might come to mind, but shouldn’t we really want to learn from the very BEST?
I think so…so I believe that when it comes to praying, the Best Person to look to, is Jesus Himself.
Praying is so important for the Christian, that we should learn from the Best there is.
Now as we started our conversation on prayer last week, you’ll remember, I said that prayer is actually an ACT of WORSHIP…a special form of worship…it’s an act of worship in which we communicate…it’s a time to be in God’s presence…
So Prayer is a time where we can talk to God…
It’s a time of worship when God is listening to what we’re saying to Him…
It’s a time of worship where God speaks to us…
It’s a time of worship we listen to God…
It’s time of worship where as we listen to Him, we also begin to RESPOND to what He has spoken…
But most importantly, it’s a time of worship when we enter into close communion with the Creator, with the L ...
