We are going to begin a new study tonight on prayer and we will call the study, "How To Get Your Prayers Answered". Right now in our church it's a good time to have a study on prayer because as you know as we begin here we handed out little bookmarks that have a place to list the names of ten people.
We are encouraging everybody to pray for ten people this year who have spiritual needs. As we move through the year, it's going to be interesting to see and to hear from you about how the Lord is answering these prayers. I think it is going to be very, very much of a blessing because when we pray for people things happen. Did you know that?
When we pray for people, they can change, their circumstances can change, and certainly God is released through the Spirit of God to work in their life through the power of prayer. So we are going to be talking about that list of ten, the ten most wanted, or the top ten list, whatever you want to call it.
Your top ten, the top ten people that you would like to see the Lord work in their life. It may be that God will use you or God will use somebody else but God will use your prayers in their life to bring them to the Lord. As we go out and share Christ with Gideon's 300, prayer is going to be a very important factor. I really felt we need to spend several weeks talking about prayer.

Now tonight we're going to look at the pattern prayer, the model prayer, the Lord's prayer, Matthew Chapter 6. So I want us to take a moment and turn to Matthew Chapter 6. I'm reading tonight from the New International Version and I want us to see what Jesus had to say about a pattern ...
