Acts 2:22-41

When Peter was "clothed with power from on high," he was given the abili¬ty to be a witness to Jesus Christ. We can learn from what he said and what happened and apply the lessons to ourselves. For we, too, are His witnesses.

I. The Content of Peter's Message. vv. 22 36

A. The proposition: "Jesus Christ is Lord." v. 36
1. Jesus of Nazareth is the long-promised Christ.

2. Jesus of Nazareth is Lord-i.e. God incarnate.

3. Jesus of Nazareth is God living our life and dying our death.

4. Jesus of Nazareth demands, deserves, and desires our allegiance.


Part 9: It Ain't Over Til It's Over

After Pentecost, Peter might have assumed that he had "arrived" spiritually. But he discovered that the growth of a soul is not completed this side of eternity. Like Peter we, too, need to embrace the opportunities for growth that life affords.
