Every generation has its share of insidious imposters who pretend to know how to present truth but in fact spread heresy, deception and false doctrine among God's people and in the world. With cunning craftiness they pose as legitimate leaders and deceive common folk. Jesus said false ministries would arise and destroy many. Every believer has the responsibility to develop the art and science of discerning the spirit of truth and the spirit of error.
A false gospel is preached by false ministries. False = (Gr) to deceive by lies, liar.

American spiritual and biblical ignorance makes deception a very real possibility.

II Peter 3:3 In the last days mockers will come, mocking, following their own lusts.
I Timothy 4:1 Now the spirit expressly says that in latter days some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons.
II Timothy 3:1 Last days perilous, difficult times will come. Terrible times, difficult, times of stress, troublesome. Perilous = dangerous, high risk, hazardous, difficult, perplexing, exposure to injury, fierce, savage.
1. Church will be victorious (Eph 5:26; Is 60:13).
2. Church will reap great harvest (Mt 13:39; Rev 14:15).
3. Church will be powerfully moved by the Holy Spirit (Joel 2:28; Acts 2:1-4).
4. Church will preach the gospel to the whole world (Mt 24:14).
5. Church will see the kingdom of God come to full fruit (Jm 5:1-7; Rev 22:11).
6. Church will see a greater release of true ministries (Eph 4:11-12).
