Ephesians 2:1-10

Now join me in the New Testament book of Ephesians as we continue our series of messages under the heading:
The If's, Ands and Buts of the Bible
If this series of messages was the mile run, four laps around a track, we would be on our final lap! We are closing in on the finish line. What I'm trying to tell you is this: we're about to wrap up this series of messages.
But before we do, there are some things God has for us and what He has for us today is from the second chapter of Ephesians as we think about
His Restoring Power
Now before we begin reading from Ephesians 2 .. let me remind you of where we've been. In this series of messages .. the "If's" of the Bible pointed us to The Promises of God. The "Ands" of the Bible pointed us to The Provisions of God. And now, the "buts" of the Bible point us to The Providence of God.
His Promises! His Provisions! His Providence! And my heart will be forever filled with gratitude for all 3 of The If's, Ands and Buts of the Bible!
Now keep in mind when we talk about the providence of God, we're talking about how God works behind the scenes of our life for His glory and for our good. God is constantly working behind the scenes of your life to bring you into a relationship with Him. He's constantly working behind the scenes of your life to bring you into fellowship with Him.
And don't think that He stops working behind the scenes of your life after you open up your heart to Him! Oh no! He keeps on working! Once His child, He begins working behind the scenes of your life to "conform you into the image of His Son."
Do you know what that tells me about The Providence of God? That He not only pursed me in His providence BEFORE I was saved; He pursues me now in His providence THAT I AM saved. He pursued me BEFORE I was saved, to save me. He pursues me now THAT I AM saved, to sancti ...
