Part 1: What Are We Talking About?
Series: Enjoying The Good Life
Stuart Briscoe
Deuteronomy 1:1-8

When Jehovah told Moses what to say to the children of Israel on the eve of their entrance to the Promised Land, He talked about a "good land" (6:18) filled with "good things" (6:11) that He wanted them to "enjoy" (6:2). But He insisted that they must "do what is right and good" (6:18). Anyone interested in enjoying the good life should study what Moses said in Deuteronomy!

I. Who Said It?

A. Moses-extraordinarily gifted. Acts 7:20, 22
B. Moses-supernaturally called. Acts 7:30, 35-36
C. Moses-uniquely privileged. Exodus 33:11
D. Moses-unusually devoted. Hebrews 11:25-26

II. What Did He Say?

A. "All that the Lord has commanded…" Deuteronomy 1:3
B. "Expound this law." Deuteronomy. 1:5; 27:8

III. Whom Did He Say It to?

A. "All Israel"-"God's covenant people." Deuteronomy 5:1-3
