2 Kings 4:1-7
Two Nuns were nurses and they would go about helping people in different areas. And one day they were called to the countryside to help a person who was bed ridden and so they went and ministered to him. And on the way back to town they ran out of gas. And they didn't know what to do, they were kinda out in the middle of nowhere and all of a sudden a truck came by and they flagged down the truck. And he stopped and he said "What's the matter?" And they said "Well we ran out of gas." And he said "Well I'd like to help you but I really don't know how." He said "I'd give you some gas that I have in my truck but I don't have a container for it." He said "Do you have a container, something we could drain some gas off in?" And so they rummaged through the trunk and one of nuns pulled out a bedpan. And she said "Well would this work?" And he said "Well yeah, that'll hold the gas." And so he drained some gas into the bedpan filled it all up about 2 quarts worth in this pan. And then he had to leave and so we waved good-bye and so they're there on the side of the road carefully pouring the contents into the gas tank. Just then a highway patrolman comes by and he sees them doing this but I do admire your faith." (Laughter) We're in a series on Faith, Strong Faith for Tough Times. We live in tough times in tough days we live in the last days and Jesus said in His word "that in the last days difficult times will come." So we need strong faith for the difficult times.
Now the Bible tells us that difficulties come to every person. And tough times and impossible situations come to your life and come to my life and so we want to look today at this subject When the Impossible Meets God. How many people in here have ever experienced in your own personal life a seemingly impossible situation can I see your hand? There are impossible situations all over this place. ...
