When I was in about third grade, I had my first dream of flying. Has anybody have, ever had a dream that you could fly? It is the coolest thing. remember, first time I was just like wow! I woke up. I was so exhilarated I couldn't wait to go back to bed, you know, because I thought, Man, I'm going to be able to fly again tomorrow night. And I would go to bed at night just thinking, Oh, I want to fly, I want to fly. And about that same time, I had another recurring dream of going to school and forgetting my pants. Have you ever had that dream? (laughter) That's a horrible dream. I'd be in the restroom and look down. I was in such a hurry, I forget to put on my pants. And I didn't want to go and leave the bathroom, you know, all during that dream. And that was, that was not so cool (laughter). But then, when I was in college and out of college, I used to have a recurring dream where I'd be walking down campus, at the quod, just the outdoor area, and somebody would come up to me and say, ''Jeff, are you ready for your Chemistry final?'' I said, ''Oh, Chemistry final? Yeah, it's at 2:00 today.'' I said, ''I didn't even know I was taking Chemistry'' (laughter). ''Yes. Are you ready for your final?'' ''Of course not. I haven't been to class yet.'' That, he said, ''Yeah, you got to do good on your final.'' And I was just so freaked out, and I would wake up all freaked out because I wasn't prepared. I didn't even know I had that class.
You know, that particular dream of being unprepared and clueless and oblivious, that dream is reality for many people - not when it comes to taking a test and in school, but when it comes to spiritual warfare. They're oblivious. They're clueless. They don't know about the spiritual warfare that the Bible talks about. They say, ''What is that? You're talking warfare. What war? You talking about the war in Iraq? You talking about the war on terror?'' No, talking about ...
