Hebrews 11:1 says, "Faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see." And Hebrews 11:6 then later says, "and without faith it is IMPOSSIBLE to please God, because anyone who comes to God must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who earnestly seek Him."
Are YOU trying other ways to PLEASE God?
Why not TRY what He says…try Faith.
With that, let me say to you…
Well…I hope that by the time we finish this study on FAITH,
you can say, wow…my faith is really growing!
Let me share with you just a little of why I'm personally
looking forward to preaching and teaching these sessions
over the next six weeks.
For one thing, I want to see MY OWN Faith grow too.
But secondly, I don't see this series as just another Bible Study…
nor do I see it as the finishing of ALL the work that went into it.
Instead, I believe this is just the beginning of something NEW
as God works through each one of us
and through our church to start something really exciting
here in the Back Mountain.
So as we LOOK at this thing called Faith,
and as we LEARN about what it looks like,
and as we start to LIVE our faith as we respond to God,
I believe that a lot of you will be SHOWING JESUS to a lot of people,
and over time, there will be a lot of lost people all around this area
who will come to know Jesus personally as their Savior and Lord.
But we won't see those kind of things,
UNLESS we are ALL growing in our own faith…
so, let me again ask a question about your own faith…
HAVE you ever struggled with what Faith ought to look like in your life?
Maybe one of the 'faith things' you're struggling with,
is saying yes to God about getting serious ...
