Ephesians 5: 3 thru 7
Intro: Spiritual adultery and fornication, as well as physical, is one of the most damnable sins of our day. Once again, as mentioned earlier, we have allowed our doctrine and our deeds to be dictated by the world's culture, instead of adhering to the Word of God. A truly spiritual person is one that manifests the traits and truth of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. This person will exemplify Christ and His teachings to such a degree that they look a lot like heavenly beings in a real sense of the word. What we are seeing today, is a resurgence of the adulteress environment of the Corinthian church. This church had materialized, modernized, and mechanized itself into a worldly mess. The problem is that contemporary Christianity wants to see how close they can get to the edge of God's kingdom, and pitch their tents on the outer limits and camp out on the edge. This is a trap and a snare of Satan himself. As we examine the fact that "Fidelity is the stronghold of a Loving union, we see:
I. DO NOT BE A BLENDER WITH THE WORLD'S PERSONALITY
Today, we have a spiritual mentality which is reeking deadly and destructive effects on the power and personality of the church. That mentality states, "I need to live close to the world, so I can show them that there really isn't that much difference between me and them". This mentality has been labeled "the seeker friendly doctrine". The trend to blend with a rebellious world, is a deception that seeks to make Christianity acceptable to the world. The truth remains that neither Christ, Christianity or a Christian will ever blend with this sinful world.
