The Power and Presence of the Holy Spirit
Ephesians 1:10-14; I Corinthians 3:16; Galatians 4:6; Ephesians 3:16; I John 4:13
INTRODUCTION: This morning, I want to talk to you about one of the most important subjects in the Bible--the Power and Presence of the Holy Spirit. The moment you got saved, the Holy Spirit came to dwell within your body. If you are a Christian, He is within you at this very moment. 1 Cor. 3:16 says, "Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?"
How important is this? It is more important than many of us think. Let us keep in mind; we are talking about God in us. It seems there are two extremes today; either people have little knowledge and awareness of the presence of the Holy Spirit, or they give emphasis to certain extraneous things such as speaking in tongues, divine healing and outward emotion. The Bible says that "God is not the Author of confusion" (I Cor. 14:33). The Lord wants us to know and understand the truth about the Holy Spirit in order that we might not only appreciate who He is, but that we might live in such a way as to experience His "Power and Presence" in our lives.

Acts 1:8, the Lor ...
