Shaped for Significant Future
INTRODUCTION: This story could be called, "God Readying The Gold," or "Being Shaped for Greatness," or "Character Without Compromise," or "A Dreamer Being Developed," or "Development Through Devotion."
Gen. 30:22-24 Joseph is born to Jacob and Rachel. Joseph means "add to me" or "may God add." Here is a young man that was honored by his father, hated by his brother, humbled by his circumstances, and found hope and a future through the Lord's promotion.
This is a story out of history of Preparation, Temptation, and Elevation.
In Preparation, "God prepares us for what He is preparing for us, if we will but yield to Him."
Everything in your life up to this point could very well be part of the Lord's preparation for your future service.
In Temptation, God promises significant provision.
1 Corinthians 10:13, "No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it."
In Elevation, God's prosperity is showered on the servants. We quickly learn that with prosperity comes the need for integrity; with authority comes the need for accountability, and with popularity comes the need for humility.

What is integrity? Means wholeness, entireness, completeness. The root word integer means untouched, intact, entire. Integrity is to personal or corporate character what health is to the body or 20/20 vision is to the eyes. A person with integrity is not divided (that's duplicity) or merely pretending (that's hypocrisy). He or she is "whole"; life is "put together," and things are working together harmoniously. People with integrity have nothing to hide and nothing to fear. Their lives are open books. They are "integers."
