Matthew 11:2-5

John the Baptist had a mission to preach repentance and to prepare the way for the coming of the Messiah.

So do we!

We exist to make disciples of Jesus Christ in this Community.

There are many hurting, wounded and lost people in this community!
Don't let the outside fool you!
Reminds me of the story in Acts 3 of the lame man by the lame man a t the gate beautiful.

Peter and John were wise enough to not be put of by his request for alms.
He didn't get what he asked for but he got what he needed!

After a period of time John wanted to know if Christ was the one or should they look for another.

Jesus sent back his credentials.

His credentials are our credentials.

Matt 11:2-5
2 When John heard in prison what Christ was doing, he sent his disciples
3 to ask him, "Are you the one who was to come, or should we expect someone else?"
4 Jesus replied, "Go back and report to John what you hear and see:
5 The blind receive sight, the lame walk, those who have leprosy are cured, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, and the good news is preached to the poor.

This is our credentials in this community. I challenge you to join us in this mission as we hand over our church building to you.

4 Jesus replied, "Go back and report to John what you hear and see:

May they not just hear a report but may they see for themselves!

Just Trust God!
Young Preacher and the older Bishop!
Young preacher was asked to preach!
Bishop told him to Go and pray and God would give him the words to speak!
He went to the Bishops cabin to pray and opened the Bishops Bible and found a beautiful set of sermon notes. So he preached them.
The Bishop came up to him very upset! Just trust God Bishop Just trust God!
