Now join me in the 19th chapter of GOD'S SPECIAL BOOK OF BLESSING. Revelation 19. If you have struggled through the first 18 chapters of Revelation, I have some good news. When you come to chapter 19, the struggle stops and the shouts begin! The confusion stops and the celebration starts!
For the event that saints have been waiting for with anticipation is about to take place. I'm talking about the Marriage Supper of the Lamb!
The invitations have been sent. The guests are being assembled, the bride and groom are now arriving and the wedding is about to begin!
Now everybody loves a wedding. You've heard of the wedding of the century? This will be the wedding of the ages! This is the wedding of the Lamb (that is the Lord Jesus Christ); and His bride (that is the church of Jesus Christ).
Now before the wedding takes places, first comes the celebration. And then after the celebration, then comes the ceremony. That's what we're reading about this morning ..
The Marriage Supper of the Lamb
It was worth getting through the first 18 chapters to get to this 19th chapter! These first 10 verses are filled with alleluia's and amen's and praises to God in preparation for the Marriage Supper of the Lamb!
You say, "Pastor, what is the Marriage Supper of the Lamb?" That is the celebration that will take place in Heaven after the Bride and Groom are united forever!
Now of course the Bride is the church and the Groom is Jesus. The scripture does not describe the marriage ceremony, but it does describe the celebration. And that celebration is called the Marriage Supper of the Lamb.
Well, let the celebration begin! The first thing we read about is ..
(1) The Praise from the Saints.
Now as we consider the praise from the saints, think with me about several things.
