As our Journey in Faith continues ... let's head back to God's Hall of Faith. And that Hall of faith is found in Hebrews 11.
Roswell Street Baptist Church is on a Journey in faith! A journey that is being bathed in prayer! As a church ... we are committing these 29 days of February to prayer. Together ... we are using our daily devotional and prayer guide that has been carefully put together with you in mind!
But our Journey in Faith is not only being bathed in prayer ... it is a journey that is bursting with promise! God is giving us an unprecedented opportunity to do something great for His glory!
A soul-saving station! A place where the Bible is taught. A place where children can grow up in the faith and families can worship and serve and witness and pray.
That's God's church! And in order to accomplish these goals that we believe that God is leading us to accomplish ... we will need to be a part of a miracle! A 28 million dollar miracle!
We're asking our people to commit over and above their regular giving for the next three years. Commitment Sunday is March 14th ... just four weeks away!
That's the day we come together as a church and give perhaps the largest pledge that we have ever given for the Kingdom of God and His church! I know it will be for Julie and me! And our pledge will be a faith pledge for it will take faith and sacrifice for us to do what God is calling us to do!
Well ... if there was ever a man who had faith ... a great faith ... an unsinkable faith ... it was a man named Noah! He had a faith that would not sink! That is the kind of faith we need in our Journey in Faith!
Now remember ... it takes faith to please God! You will never please God without faith! And that means for Roswell Street Baptist Church to please God ... it's going to take F A I T H!
