How Can I Know That I Am Saved Forever?

1 John 5:13; John 6:47; Romans 6:23; John 10:27-30

1. We come back to the question, "How can I know that I am saved forever?" I have listed just a few of the many verses in Scripture that speak of eternal life. Please make special note of the word eternal. If the Lord did not mean eternal, then it makes since He would have used a different word. He was very careful about the words He chose to place in Scripture. He goes on to say, "Some view salvation like Noah offering to put a peg on the outside of the ark. 'If you just hang on through the storm, you'll be saved.' Salvation is not dependent on our holding on to God, but on our being securely held by Christ."

Remember what Jesus said? "And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand."
