We know. We know we pass from death to life. We know. Christian certainty. It's wonderful to be saved and to know it and that you are assured of your own personal salvation. If we are going to be used of God, if we are going to be serving the Lord, we must know we are saved. The other day I was listening to a program in which the question was brought up, what is the most important thing in your life. It is something to think about. What is the most important thing in your life. One person said, my children, another said, the health of my children, somebody else suggested oxygen. If you don't have air or oxygen for your lungs you don't want to live so that is important if you are alive. Then somebody came through, I was interested to see what people were saying, and said, the most important thing in my life is that I have been born again.
I thought how true that is my friends, that the most important thing in our lives is to know that we are saved. To know that we have God in our lives and Christ and that we are children of God and that He is looking after us. This is the most important thing unquestionably in our lives. So, let me ask you this, do you have this important thing? Do you have this salvation and the assurance of it. Is it real in your heart and in your life? Now before you answer this, let me say this. There are a lot of people who are deceived in this matter. Just a world of people.
The other day I was in a hospital room with one of my ladies who was having an operation and she handed me a clipping from a newspaper from an outstanding columnist who answers everybody's questions.
