Last Hour -- Last Chance!
Jesse M. Hendley
First John 2:12-18
Friends, I want to speak to you now from First John, the second chapter, on "THE LAST HOUR," "The last hour" is mentioned by John in chapter 2, verse 18.Beginning with verse 12, John says, "I write unto you, little children, because your SINS ARE FORGIVEN, for His Name's sake. I write you, fathers, because you have known Him that is from the Beginning. I write unto you, young men, because ye have overcome the wicked one. I write unto you, little children, because ye have known the Father. I have written unto you, fathers, because ye have known Him that is from the Beginning. I write unto you, young men, because ye are strong and the Word of God abideth in you, and ye have overcome the wicked one. Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father but of the world. The world is passing away, and the lusts thereof. But he that doeth the will of God abideth forever. LITTLE CHILDREN, IT IS THE LAST HOUR. As ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now there are many antichrists, whereby we known it is the last time."
Then he says in verse 20, "Ye have an unction, an anointing, from the Holy One, and ye know all things. I have not written unto you because ye know not the truth, but because ye KNOW it, and that no lie is the truth. Who is a liar but he that DENIETH that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist that denieth the Father and the Son."
There is an important passage from God's Holy Word, and I pray today that it will be a real blessing to your heart as we bring this message to you. I hope you will pray today for the broadcast, that today people will see the tremendous time in which we live and the NEED OF KNOWING JESUS CHRIST, as Saviour and as LORD.
