HEBREWS 11:23-29

T.S.: What is real faith? What does genuine faith confess?
From the life of Moses I would like to relate today five
genuine confessions of faith that we learn fron his life
as given to us in the eleventh chapter of Rebrews:
1. GHCIUEI FAITH CONIISSFS THAT GOD IS IN CONTROL.(v. 23)
Exp: In Exodus chapter one it speaks of the edict of
Pharoah to cast every newborn boy child into the
N-l-e.Mos' mother bid his for three aonths in
a basket by the reeds of the Nile River. Pharoah's
daughter bathed at the Nile one day and found baby
Moses in the basket. Pharoah's daughter raised
Moses in the court of Pharoah. Later Moses found
out he was a Hebrew and one day when he saw an
Egyptian beating a fellow-Hebrew he slew the Egyp-
tian. Pharoah tried to kill Moses so he left to
the land of Nidian and lived in the wilderness
country for forty years. Here he met his wife
and God called hit to go back to Egypt to deliver
his people. After the tenth plague upon Egypt
Noses led God's people to freedom.
Ill: Who would have ever thought God could have taken
the bad in Noses' life and used it for good?
Hebrews 11:23 indicates the sovereign hand of God!
Ill: Joseph, fron pit to pinnacle!
An: Genuie faith never panics, but al-was rests in- the
fact that God is in control.
Wherever you are in your life today, good or bad,
or whatever you are doing today, let De tell you
God is in control.

2. GENUINE FAITH CONFESSES TEAT SUFFIRIhG IS A PART OF LIFE.
(vs. 24-25)
Exp: Noses could have compromised who he was, but by
faith he rejected that he was the son of Pharoah's
daughter. He could have enjoyed the temporary
pleasure of sin, but he chose to endure the ill-
treatment with God's people.
