In the 6th chapter of the Book of Matthew today, I would
like for you to look with me at God's word as we stand
together in reverence to the reading of the scripture.
Matthew Chapter 6, begin reading in verse 19, reading
through verse 21 as we stand in reverence to the reading of
God's word. I will be reading this morning from the New
American Standard translation so, if you would, please join
me as we read God's word together. Jesus is speaking and
said: "Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth where
moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal,
but lay up for yourself treasures in heaven where neither
moth or rust destroy or where the thieves do not break in or
steal. For where your treasure is, there will your heart
be, also."
Will you please bow with me in prayer? Father, may those
words ring in our ears today for where our treasure is,
there will our heart be, also. May you come alive today in
our lives in a brand new way because of what we learn here
this morning. It is in the name of Jesus that we ask your
blessed spirit to preside over the remaining parts of these
moments together, for it is in his name, Jesus name, that we
pray. Amend.
