In the summer of 1975, after my freshman year of college,
I traveled and conducted several revivals across America.
In the first week of July in 1975 I was asked to preach a revival
in Great Falls, Montana, as well as attend and speak to their
statewide family camp.
So one morning early I got into my car and left for Great Falls,
Montana, traveling across the state of Texas to Colorado
Springs, Colorado, and spent the night in my car at a roadside
park. The next day I traveled to Butte, Montana, and spent
the night there in a hotel. The next day I arrived in Great
Falls. After spending two weeks in Montana conducting revival
services I left for home.
I was ready to get home so I drove and drove. For thirty-two
straight hours I drove from Great Falls, Montana, to my home
in Southwest Texas. I can honestly tell you that I do not
remember anything about the stretch from Lubbock, Texas,
to Abilene, Texas. I was so tired and "out of focus" that I
became quite dangerous. Just outside of Austin, Texas, I
awakened on the wrong side of the road with a car coming
straight at me. God saved me from a major accident which
could have killed me. Needless to say, the next three hours
I was awake until I got home.
Many times we cannot live successfully in the will of God
because we get "out of focus." To be focused means you
concentrate your thoughts on one basic thing in life. Listen,
as a Christian your one major focus needs to be for you to
live in the will of God. When you are focused on living in the
will of God, God reveals to you some of the secrets of living
in His will.
This morning I want you to listen very carefully because
each of us can gain great insights concerning living in the
will of God. This morning I want to talk with you about,
