What Happens When You Do What God Says? by Ronnie Floyd

QUESTIONS ONLY GOD CAN ANSWER
"WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU DO WHAT GOD SAYS?"
JAMES 1:19-27
JUNE 17, 1990
INTRODUCTION.- The last time we shared together we ask the
question, "Do I have to do what God says?" The answer to
that question was ABSOLUTELY! Since God's Word is our au-
thority we have no other alternative but to obey it, when
we hear it. Otherwise, we are involved in self-deceptive
religion!
Since we must do the Word of God the question today is,
"What happens when you do what God Says?" There will be
five results from this passage that will come alive when
you do what God says to do in his Word. If you only hear,
they will not take place. However, if you obey the Word
in doing, your life will result in the following:

"anger of man does not achieve the righteousness
of God"-means the way of life, in word and deed,
that God requires from us.

the person or situation.
(3) You will learn to not anger easily when you
do not get your way.(This does not represent
God well)
2. YOU WILL LIVE A HOLY LIFE.(v. 21)
Exp: "putting aside"-metaphor like putting off clothes.
"all filthiness"-dirtiness, moral defilement, evil,

naughtiness.
"of wickedness"-is a shame to character, ...
