"BEING SENSITIVE TO OTHERS"
Romans 14:10-23
INTRODUCTION: Does the Bible have to say, " is wrong" in order for it to be wrong in
the life of the believer?
When does something become wrong in our lives? Have you ever struggled about
an area of your life whether it was wrong or right?
*The answer to all these questions will be given to you this evening!
**Many Christians have the attitude, "The Holy Spirit has never convicted me
of "(Adults have it about their social drinking and loose commitment to
Christ's church, and young people have this attitude concerning
their dancing and devlish music)
1. BEING SENSITIVE TO OTHERS BEGINS BY YOU UNDERSTANDING THAT YOU WILL STAND BEFORE GOD
AND BE JUDGED.(10-12)
Exp: The judged cannot judge is what Paul is saying.
Each person will give an account of himself to God--Regardless of what Christ did
on the cross!
Ill: Matthew 7:5 "Beam in your own eye" Hypocrite!
App: The measure you judge others will be the way God will judge you (Matthew 7)
Do not be cruel to people or make fun of them! That is ungodly!
2. BEING SENSITIVE TO OTHERS IS MAINTAINED IN YOUR LIFE BY REMOVING OBSTACLES THAT MAY
CAUSE OTHERS TO STUMBLE IN THE FAITH.(13-17)
Exp: Do not put an obstacle in the brother's way! If one thinks it to be unclean, it is!
If food offends you are not walking according to love! Your food will reuin your
witness for Christ!
Kingdom of God is not these trivial matters, but righteousness, peace, and love!
Ill: Eating meat offended the people because it was offered to idols!
App: You can ruin your Christian testimony in one moment of weakness inyour life!
Being sensitive to the H ly Spirit and people will result in you giving up certain
things for people!
