"WHAT IS FAITH?"
INTRODUCTION: It is by faith that I come to the cross for salvation. Once I have
been saved by his grace I leave the cross by faith!
1. WHAT IS FAITH?
Exp: (Heb. 11:1) "Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things
not yet seen."
Faith is based on facts from the Word of God (Obedience-salvation, filling w/Spirit
Faith is FORSAKING ALL I TAKE HIM!
Faith is trusting in Jesus Christ and him alone for my salvation.
Faith is total reliance on God, not yourself.
Faith is calling those things which are not, as though they are.
Faith grows exceedinglyfast, not by a glimpse, not by a look, but a gaze upon Him.
Faith does not always take you out of the storm, but always calms you in the storm.
Faith is not a faculty, but faith is thewhole man rightly related to God by the
Spirit of Jesus.
Faith enables the believer to treat the future as present and the invisible as
