1 Peter 4:7-11
April 12, 1992
INTRODUCTION:
1992 Mega-Metro Meeting for Pastors at Bellevue Baptist
Church in Memphis, Tennessee. Older men, especially Ed
Young and John Bisagno, who shared they believed that Jesus
was coming very soon.
BIBLE TEXT OPENING PHRASE:
"The end of all things is at hand," means that the time
is coming near for Jesus to come. It teaches the imminent
return of the Lord - meaning He could come at any moment.
When you really believe Jesus could come at any moment,
it will affect the way you live your life. Your lifestyle will

T.S.:

Again, not going to God in prayer without your head
being clear from worldly mindedness and the worries
of this world. He calls us to be single-minded.
In other words, I am going to talk to God, therefore,
I am going to give it my full attention.
Application:
Do you pray with self-control and
singlemindedness? You cannot pray expecting
God's power to equip you in these last days in
a lazy manner and without being focused in your
attention.
Prayer is a high priority in persecution.
