Introduction: The greatest story I ever heard is about how
Jesus died for me. The greatest story I ever heard is about
how Jesus hung on Mount Calvary. The Bible says that Jesus,
himself, became the personal once and for all sacrifice for
our sins. Jesus died on the cross so that we might have the
hope of life after death and the hope of life in the midst
of living. Have you ever received Jesus' ultimate sacrifice
into your life? He gave everything so that you might live
eternally. INVITATION: Choose Jesus & Heaven . . . not
Jesus you will receive Hell.
Christian: Jesus hung on the cross-gave his all for your
sin. Once and for all sacrifice! He Qave his all! What
are you giving Jesus today in return? e-think we are great
when we give God an hour here or there. Jesus wants our en-
tire lives. INVITATION: Give Jesus absolute and final reign
as Lord of your life.
As we look into our text today we see a lady who gave every-
thing to Jesus! It~s was sold out to him. Let's evaluate
her spirit in relationship to the spirit we should have about
our personal lives, our church, our family, and our SHARE THE
Exp: Jesus sat opposite of the treasury observing the
people and the gifts brought into the temple. There
were a number of places in their worship center where
objects made with a large open mouth, like a trumpet,
for the purpose of receiving the offering. Jesus
observed the people as they gave.
Spirit of accountability-these people were to answer
to or be accountable to God for what they gave.
Ill: The very meaning of the word stewardship suggests
that each of us are responsible and accountable to
God for what he has given to us. We will answer to
Him for everything we do.
