THE DANGERS OF THE LAST DAYS
JAMES MERRITT
I JOHN 2:18-27

INTRODUCTION

1. JOHN IS TALKING TO HIS CHILDREN, HE IS TALKING
TO THE FAMILY OF GOD, THIS IS A FAMILY TALL. JOHN
IS GIVING A FIRESIDE CHAT TO HIS CHILDREN. HE HAS
WARNED THEM ABOUT THE CONFLICT BETWEEN LIGHT AND
DARKNESS, HE HAS WARNED THEM ABOUT THE CONFLICT
BETWEEN LOVE AND HATRED, NOW HE IS WARNING THEM
ABOUT THE CONFLICT BETWEEN TRUTH AND ERROR. WE ARE
GOING TO FIND OUT THAT IT IS NOT ENOUGH FOR A
CHRISTIAN TO WALK IN THE LIGHT OF GOD OR IN THE

PLAYING ONE AFTERNOON AND ONE LITTLE BOY SAID TO
THE OTHER ONE, "DO YOU KNOW WHAT TIME IT IS? HE
SAID, "NO. BUT I KNOW IT IS NOT 4 O'CLOCK." HE
SAID "HOW DO YOU KNOW THAT?" HE SAID,"BECAUSE
MY MOTHER TOLD ME TO BE HOME AT 4 AND I'M NOT."
NOW SOME CHRISTIANS ARE CONFUSED BY THE USE OF THE
WORD THE LAST HOUR OR THE LAST DAYS BECAUSE IT
APPEARS AS IF JOHN WAS SAYING HE WAS IN THE LAST
HOUR. NOW YOU ASK, ARE WE IN THE LAST DAYS OR
WAS JOHN IN THE LAST DAYS? THE ANSWER IS YES.
THAT IS WE ARE BOTH IN THE LAST DAYS. SINCE THE
CROSS WE HAVE ALWAYS BEEN IN THE LAST HOUR OR THE
LAST DAYS. BEFORE THE CROSS WE ...
