Hebrews 2:1-4

Introduction

1. Some of the greatest questions that have ever perplexed the human race find an answer in the Bible. For example one question the human race has always asked is "If a man die, shall he live again?" The Bible says yes another great question that has been asked is "Am I my brother's keeper?" The answer to that question according to the Word of God is yes. Still another great question that men ask is "Is there a heaven? And if so, how can I go there?" The Bible's answer to that is yes there is a heaven and you can go there by believing on the Lord Jesus Christ.

2. But there is one question that all of the philosophers in the world cannot answer, there is one question that all of the scientists in the world cannot answer. There is one question that all of the doctors in the world cannot answer. There is one question that the angels in heaven cannot answer there is one question that the devil and all of the demons in hell cannot answer. There is one question that even God himself cannot answer. And it is the question found in the second chapter of Hebrews, "How shall we escape if we neglect so great a salvation?" When God has built a bridge to heaven and man refuses to walk across that bridge, there is nothing else that God can do, when God has built a door to heaven and has opened that door for all to go in and men refuse to walk through that door, there is nothing else that God can do.

3. The Bible has 1,189 chapters. Three of them tell man where he came from. And 1,186 tell him where he is going and where a man goes depends upon what he does with this great salvation that God has so graciously provided.
