INTRODUCTION: A troubled mind is a convenient
depository for the seeds of doubt, despair, and
wickedness. Prov. 23:7, "For as he thinks in his heart, so
Great Statement: "You are not what you think you are,
but what you think; you are."
Dealing with worry is a matter of proper thinking and
proper action. Paul speaks of promised peace to those
who follow this truth in God's Word.
The Bible makes it clear that whenever we believe a lie,
Satan takes over.
John 8:44, "You are of your father the devil, and the
desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer
from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth,
because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie,
he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the
father of it."
Satan wants to corrupt our minds with his lies.
2 Cor 11:3, "But I fear, lest somehow, as the serpent
deceived Eve by his craftiness, so your minds may be
corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ."
However, the Holy controls our minds through faith.
I John 5:6, "And it is the Spirit who bears witness,
because the Spirit is truth."
In II Cor. The Apostle Paul made it crystal clear that there
is indeed a battle for our minds and we need His
weapons (artillery) to win.
2 Cor 10:3-5, "For though we walk in the flesh, we do not
war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our
warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down
strongholds, casting down arguments and every high
thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God,
bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of

"Finally" -- the rest, remaining, moreover, besides.
"Whatsoever things" -- these things will win over worry
brought on by wrong thinking.
