Wisdom: The Way To Victory by Johnny Hunt

WISDOM: THE WAY TO VICTORY

Eccles. 7:15-29
January 31, 1994

INTRODUCTION: Solomon reminded us that the way to victory is to
keep God in the forefront of life (l8b). The theme of chapter
seven is
wisdom. Wisdom is not the knowledge of accumulated facts, but
the inner strength that comes from a God-entrusted conscience.
Chuck Swidnoll said, "Wisdom is the God-given ability to see
life with rare objectivity and to handle life with rare

Prov. 9:10, "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom."
Paul encouraged the church of Corinth with these words, "But of
Him are you in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom,
and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption." (is
made -
become for us)

And while we are at it, He's got our future, our children, our
circumstances, our friends, and our foes in His hands. What a
grand comfort! This basic truth helps to stabilize us.

Sometimes the stress of life puts so much pressure on us. Even
the truth I just shared with you at times seems to leave my
grasp.
