The Child Of God, Walking In The Light Amid The World's Darkness by Jesse Hendley

Jesse M. Hendley
Ephesians 5:8-21

Turn with me, friends to Ephesians 5:8-21. "Ye WERE
once darkness, but now ARE light in the Lord. Walk as
children of light."

Saved and Unsaved

Unsaved people are called darkness; saved people are
called light. "Ye were darkness; ye are light."
Unsaved people are darkness itself. It doesn't say
here that they walk in darkness; they ARE darkness.
Saved people are light itself. It doesn't say they
walk in light; they ARE light. So people aren't
walking toward darkness or toward light, but they ARE
darkness or they ARE light.

death, unto them a Great Light is sprung up." Darkness
is ignorance of God.

They do shameful things in secret. They are living
among the dead, spiritually. They are called "the
dead" themselves. That is what we have already

They are called "fools" in verse 15. "See that ye walk
circumspectly, not ...
