Romans 8:17

SUFFERING will bring a CROWN OF GLORY. Do not fix your
thoughts on present suffering, but look beyond this
present life to the time when all suffering will be
over. There will be a crown in eternity for those that
suffered with the Lord Jesus Christ, suffered for His
Name's sake, suffered for His Kingdom, suffered for
standing firm as a child of God, suffered for doing
right, suffered for preaching the Word of God un-
ashamed and unafraid, for NEVER GIVING UP!

Romans 8:17 says that if we suffer with Him, we shall
also reign with Him. But the unsaved will suffer in
the next world. They will suffer the vengeance of
eternal fire.

Oh, I'd rather go on with the Lord Jesus Christ, no
matter what suffering it may cost in this life, than
to suffer the vengeance of eternal fire in the next
world. Eternal fire is waiting for those who reject
Him and do not love Him and do not trust Him.

How many times have you said to yourself, "My
temptations are great? My sufferings are great."
Listen, God will not let you be tempted (tested) above
that ye are able, but with every test He will make a
way of escape in order that you may be able to bear
it. In other words, "God never puts any more on us
than we will be able to bear." He will not crush His
saints.

Paul, you remember, speaks of "the fellowship of His
sufferings." Now one of these days we are going to
Heaven. We read of "fellowships" down here, groups
that come together and have something in common. But I
believe that up in Heaven there is going to be a group
who has suffered for the Lord Jesus, and some of the
rest of us, who haven't suffered for the Lord Jesus,
are not going to be in that fellowship! The FELLOWSHIP
of His SUFFERINGS there is a little group around the
Lord Jesus who are nearer to Him than any other group.
